Keynote Speaker

Dominic Russo

Dominic Russo is a speaker, a humanitarian, and an innovator in international missions. At the young age of 20, Dominic founded Missions.Me and began organizing strategic outreach campaigns in cities across Latin America. These multifaceted campaigns include hundreds of missionary volunteers, large-scale relief projects, and collaborative partnerships with local political and religious leaders.

In 2011, Dominic launched the "1Nation1Day" vision in Honduras – a project that attracted the largest foreign missions team in history and was officially declared a national holiday by the Honduran President. In 2015, the 1Nation1Day vision spread to the Dominican Republic.  Then in 2017, the momentum around the globe erupted – mobilizing our largest team to date. 2,858 missionaries representing over 100 different churches from 33 nations and five continents descended upon the nation of Nicaragua. Since the birth of this movement, 1Nation1Day has swept across three nations – mobilizing over 8,000 international volunteers, reaching more than 2.5 million people face to face, and millions more through media.

Dominic authored the book Do Not Say I Am Too Young to motivate people to seize their destiny regardless of their age. Dominic’s story reverberates with inspiration and stirs hearts to dream of a life fully dedicated to impacting people. In 2010, Dominic’s wife Lindsay founded Angel House – an organization that has provided 152 Angel Houses, home to over 4,500 children in India and a freedom campus that shelters and rehabilitates nearly 100 victims of human trafficking annually in Nepal. Together, they reside in Southern California with their sons Mason and Jude.

Lorraine Demers

After spending 32 years in public education, church community leadership roles and thinking about what Papa God had in mind for the next chapter of our 'young' lives, Lorraine and her husband Doug, moved from Fort McMurray to Morinville in 2013. Being welcomed by their new church family at The Father’s House (TFH), God had more in store for them (than they ever dreamed)!.... It was retirement but with a new definition!

The next chapter has been so exciting, bringing opportunities to mentor/support both church/school staff, be part of the church leadership team, then join the staff of the church’s Christian School as Principal, plus continuing to volunteer wherever needed. The opportunities to serve and mentor others is endless and Lorraine has recently joined the church staff, serving as the church’s Networking Volunteer Coordinator.

From Lorraine’s experiences over time, her strong belief is that the church is no different than a home - it’s a place where every person learns, grows and contributes to the church and community as God’s gifts and abilities unfold in our lives. Lorraine has proven the model works and will enable any church or organization, large or small, to thrive and grow! Her passion is to engage every person and prove that the 'happiest people are those who serve’ Jesus and others!

With the onset of COVID-19, he helped to bring the church into an online world and now works as Creative Arts & Young Adult Pastor. His passion for the Lord and his desire to see him glorified in his work is of the highest importance to him. He wants to see people discipled and brought along for the journey, as the team strives to use their abilities and skills to honour the church and community and make Jesus known.

Having recently welcomed a baby girl into their home, Tyler and Alyse Ferguson are happy to call The Father’s House their home.
